Thanks so much for sharing all of this information about shoe repair. I have really been looking for shoe repair in chicago! Can you tell me where I can find more information about shoe repair in different places and the services that are offered?

Suzy, you can go to www.ssia.info and scroll down to the bottom left. There is a blue area called "Store Locator" put in your city and state or just your zip code. Everyone listed there is a member of Shoe Service Institue of America (SSIA). Good Luck!

I had some of my shoe repaired in Chicago. I had a really old pair that needed restoration and some were my every day shoes. Its cheaper to get them repaired in the long run if you ask me.
