You see a lot of flip flops in Florida, and this is a common problem on many peoples favorite flip flops.  Someone steps on the back of your heel and "pop" goes the thong. Or the family dog and/or cat takes a liking to that special pair.  Depending on how the thong sandal is made will determine how it will be fixed, but it can be done.
