Shoe Stretch For Tight Shoes

One of my most popular posts was "Can You Stretch Shoes?"  With that in mind I wanted to feature this product...Shoe Stretch.  Shoe Stretch comes in a 4 fl oz. squirt bottle  and works on all leathers.  This products opens the pores of your leather items and allows for successfully permanent stretching.  This is a great option if your shoes are just snug, because you are using your foot as the stretcher.  If they are unbearably tight, bring the in for us to use a professional stretcher on them.

Directions for use:  For best results saturate entire tight area of shoes, walk for approximately 15 minutes or until shoes are dry.  This will cause the shoes to contour permanently.  Used successfully for gloves, boots, new and waterstiff shoes.  Excellent on all types of suedes and leather, will stop mildew if used often.

White Boots For John McDade (Elvis Impersonator)

John McDade (Elvis Impersonator)

The following quote was pulled from aboutfacesentertainment.com. "John's show is a 70's style act covering Elvis' Vegas period and doesn't use any karoke at all. John recorded all of his music with a 6 piece band, a high voice singing trio, and some of the songs even feature a 23 person church choir; providing a very authentic sound that will drive your crowd wild! John know's how to entertain a crowd and enjoys keeping the elvis memory alive."

John pays attention to the details as an Elvis impersonator.  He's a little shorter than "The King", so he has me add a little height to the heels.

Bella Ballerina by Skechers

This was brought in today for repair.  The loop that held the strap on was broken.  We will repair the loop so she can get back to what these shoes were made for...twirling like a ballerina. The purple cirlcle at the front of the shoe is a spinning disk.  I took the information about these shoes from the Sketchers website:

  • Bella B. shoes are full of fun and glee, just a few steps and you're a twirling machine!
  • Make sure your shoes are nice and secure, and no loose objects are found on the floor
  • Once that is done you can get on your toes, push with your other foot, and around you go!
  • Make up your own style of tricks to do, and let Bella bring out the Ballerina in you
  • Take time to get acquainted with the shoes, practice with an adult supervising you
  • Use caution when spinning like a top, and if you feel like you're getting dizzy or off balance - stop!
  • Place your other foot to stop your spin, a little practice and you're ready to begin

Old Friend Slippers Before and After

After removing the soles on these "Old Friend" house slippers, I decided these would be a good before and after.  The old soles were brittle and crumbling and I was able to resole them with some flexible cowhide leather that had been deer tanned.
Now this customer has their favorite house slippers and can continue to enjoy them for a good while longer.

Ostrich Skin Boots Resoled and Heeled Before and After

This pair of Ostrich Skin Boots was half-soled and heeled.  Ostrich skin is easy to identify by the prominent bumps where the feathers were attached.  I really enjoy working on nice boots like these.
